Dielectric strength

In order to ensure the safe operation of an electrically/mechanically functioning product in the long term, the polymer materials used - such as EPP, for instance - must meet the relevant electrical, mechanical and fire protection requirements.

Furthermore, the environmental conditions in which the end product is used are decisive, as they have an additional impact on the requirements.

Converting requirements into properties

In accordance with the specified requirements, material properties can be derived regarding flammability, creep resistance, dielectric strength, mechanical strength, etc. through to long-term thermal behaviour.

Based on expertise and experience, an adapted design and the right selection of polymer materials can be made in order to develop, produce and market a safe end product.
