Product and Process development

The people of the Product and Process Development department are the link between market and technology. They are responsible for making sure that developments can be serially produced and thus act as an interface with production.

Their equipment includes a universal moulding machine which enables future projects to be tried out at the pre-serial stage, ensuring smooth co-ordination between customer requirements, design and serial viability.

Since January 2004, RUCH NOVAPLAST runs a chemical / physical laboratory unit which is concerned with the following tasks:

• Testing the resistance of materials to customer-specific substances (e. g. oils, acids)
• Melt Flow Index-Messure (assessment of polymers)
• Microscopy (light microscope with documentation option)
• Testing of raw materials (inspection of incoming goods)
• Flammability analyses according to UL and building standards
• Surface resistance measurement (conductivity of materials)
• Acoustic measurements (usually for customer-specific solutions)
• Vertical shock and impact tests incl. documentation
